Rules of Participation 1.Participants of the 20 km Short Distance Individual Race, if under 18 or between 50-60 years of age must have a written consent from guardian to be able to participate, otherwise they are not allowed to participate. 2.Participants of the 50 km Long Distance Individual Race must be between 18-50 years of age. Persons younger than 18 or older than 50 are not allowed to race. 3.Persons presently being elite cyclists (including members of a province teams or students at sports schools) will not be included in the final result list and can not compete for prizes. Elite cyclists retired for over 3 years from date of the race are allowed to compete as regular participants.
Way of participating 1. Individual participants should sign up through Nordic Ways online registration form http://www.nordicways.com/sign/Huangshan/ Please fill in the form correctly 2. The organizer is not responsible for problems caused by participant giving out wrong information when signing up. 3. Participants for team race, please download the team registration form, fill it in and send to back to Nordic Ways. Note: Teams should consist of 4 persons with at least 1 female in each team, team members should belong to the same team/club. Please fill in name of team (in Chinese and English), name of contact person and contact information 4. Group registration: Groups who register 8 or over 8 people get a group discount of registration fee 200 RMB per person. 5. Registration fee includes participation in the race, race insurance, number bibs, safety pins, bike number plates, plastic fasteners for number plate, lunch at arena on race day, Event T-shirt and event brochure. 6. We will give you a second confirmation after you have paid the registration fee (alt. and travel package fee) via bank transfer. 7. Last day of registration. 2009.3.14
Competition Rules 1.The competition will be held according to the newest “Mountain Bike Competition Rules” approved by the Chinese Cycling Association – CCA. 2.The Organizing Committee has the right to shorten or cancel the competition due to bad weather or other unforeseeable circumstances. 3.Participants should come to the arena about 1 hour before start to sign in at the race office to confirm race qualification. Otherwise, your participation will invalid. Sign in will close 10 min before race start. 4.Participants must present their ID or passport at sign in; otherwise they are not allowed to participate. 5.The referees judgments are final, if you have any objections to the final results, you can take it up with the organizing committee, the organizers will make a decision according to the actual circumstances. 6.Participants should bring their own bicycle, helmet, protective equipments etc. Participants must wear number bibs and bicycles must have on the bicycle number plates given out by the race organizers, otherwise they are not allowed to participate. 7.There will be 4 drinking stations along the track; each station will be marked with signs. Team leaders can service their own team members from the stations. 8.After sign in, the organizers are not in any way responsible for any accident caused by participants letting another person compete in their place.
Placement and awards 1. The competitions will be held according to schedule, the competition will have a closing time which will be decided by the head of referees and be announced at the CCA technical meeting. The referee has the right to close the competition, after closing; the bikers must leave the race track on referees notice. 2. In the 50 km race, the first 20 placements will receive awards. If there are under 40 persons participating in this race, the organizing committee has the right to adjust the number of placements eligible for awards and amount of prize money. 3. In the 20 km race, the first 10 placements will receive awards. If there are under 40 persons participating in this race, the organizing committee has the right to adjust the number of placements eligible for awards and amount of prize money. 4. In the 20 km team race, the first 3 placements will receive awards. The teams placement will be calculated on the total time it took for all four team members to complete the 20 km race. The team who had the fastest time will stand as number 1 and so on: If the time of two teams is exactly the same, the winning team will be decided by a comparison of the best time of the fastest team member in each team.
Report Participants should report at the Event hotel on Friday, March 20 to pick up their number bibs and plates
Referees and Arbitration Committee 1.Referees are selected by the Chinese Cycling Association CCA 2.The arbitration committee’s constitution and responsibilities are carried out in accordance with the guidelines stipulated in the “Arbitrator Committee Regulations”
